What the heck is Klout, you ask? Klout is a service that analyzes one’s social media influence and presents it as a numerical score between one and one hundred. Microsoft has announced that Bing now showcases the Klout score of professionals and celebrities during a search result.

“We are excited to announce that Bing has added Klout scores to the information it displays about professionals and celebrities who are active on social networks or have a commanding web presence. So now, when you look for information on a coworker, you will see their Klout score, right next to information from their publicly available LinkedIn profile information, as well as links to their Twitter and Facebook accounts,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post.

For example, when searching for Bill Gates on Bing, you can see his social media links as well as his Klout score of “91.” A score of 91 is actually pretty high and basically tells you that Bill Gates has a lot of influence, especially in social media.

Microsoft has also revealed that Klout themselves have added Bing as a measure of social media influence. If you are interested in checking out your Klout score, head over to Klout.com
