Microsoft has made available the Application Virtualization (App-V) 4.6 Service Pack 2 Public Beta which allows you to use your current App-V virtual apps on the recently released Windows 8 Consumer Preview and also within RDS sessions in the Windows Server 8 Beta.

“Businesses use App-V to eliminate application installs, reduce conflict between applications, and lower IT support costs. Many businesses have made investments in our App-V technology and today they can begin evaluating this latest version with the Windows 8 Consumer Preview, including the Windows Server “8” Beta for Remote Desktop Services (RDS) and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) scenarios,” Microsoft states.
