For those of you who own an AMD Radeon or AMD Mobility Radeon graphics card, AMD has rolled out a new Beta driver for those of you running Microsoft’s Windows 8 operating system. These drivers should also work on Windows 8.1 Preview.

So what’s new with the Catalyst 13.8 Beta drivers? According to AMD, there is improved support for AMD CrossFire Frame Pacing in this driver release, along with full support for the OpenGL 4.3 feature set. There are also performance improvements when playing games. The Beta driver also allows users to create per-application 3D setting profiles for OpenGL applications.

Catalyst Control Center, which comes with the driver download, will now show which applications are active on the Performance GPU and the Power-Saving GPU. There is also support for DirectX 10 and DirectX 11 applications and resolutions up to 2560×1600 for a single display.

Hit the download link below to snag the drivers for Windows 8 or Windows 8.1, in either a 32bit flavor or 64bit flavor. You can also see the full change log at the download link.
