Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is an upcoming video game based on a mini-game in the latest The Witcher main video game series. The digital card game will be part of Microsoft’s Xbox Play Anywhere initiative which will allow for cross-play and cross-saves between Xbox One consoles and Windows 10 devices and has already gone through several stages of beta testing over the past few months.
Gradually, more and more fans of the game have been given access to the game via special game codes but the number has still been limited and many fans have been waiting for over a month to play. That’s likely to change today with a massive push by the Gwent developers that’s seeing 10,000 game codes given away to anyone who visits this special page on the Gwent website.
All a user has to do is log in with either their Facebook, Twitch, or YouTube account and choose which platform they want to play the game on. They will then be given their unique code and can begin downloading Gwent on their Xbox One or Windows 10 device almost immediately. The entire process takes less than two minutes.
No release date for the final, public version of Gwent: The Witcher Card Game has been announced yet but given the growing number of beta testers, it’s likely to be sometime in the near future. Are you excited for Gwent? Will you play it on Xbox One or Windows 10? Let us know in the comments below.
