Cortana

Cortana is one of the most highly anticipated features introduced with the Windows Phone 8.1 update. While the feature was only available for those residing the US, Microsoft confirmed Cortana — nicknamed Xiao Na — will be available in China in beta form with the upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1, which is already available for developers. A new report suggests that Microsoft has added plethora of new animations to Cortana in China — 24 to be exact.

Now, Cortana will be able to show you its mood and several other aspects in the form of attractive animations. For instance, you’ll see rockets flying when vacations arrive, as well as a few more facial expressions to describe the mood.

The US version of Cortana also has over 40 different animations to play with. It’s not just the Xiao Na which received new animations, Microsoft also added six new ones to Cortana in the US as well, such as Harry Potter’s wand, or the Lord of the Rings animation.

You can check out the animations in action at the source link below.

Thanks Maitreya for the tip!!
