Call of Duty: Black Ops III wont be playable until Friday, but that doesn’t mean gamers have to sit and wait. For those who pre-ordered Black Ops III, the title will automatically download and install to their Xbox One ahead of launch. Although this is not a new feature for Xbox users, what is interesting is that bonus content also appears to be available for download ahead of launch.

Granted, these extensions will not be accessible until the game is launched on Friday, but it is nice to see that players will not have to wait to install these add-ons on game day.

Customers who pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Pre-Order Edition will not only have immediate access to Black Ops III starting at 12:01 AM Friday morning, but also access to the Digital Personalization Pack which includes custom weapon camo, reticles, and calling cards as well as the Nuk3twon Map.

For those who opt for the Call of Duty: Black Ops III Digital Deluxe Edition, they will have access to the above mentioned items in addition to a few others. The Deluxe Edition comes with a Season Pass with access to 4 DLC map packs which will be made available in 2016, including re-imaged fan-favorites from previous titles. The Digital Deluxe Edition also includes The Giant Zombies Bonus map which also features previous maps such as “Der Rieze” and continues the Zombies story where Origins left off. Finally, these customers will receive access to the Cyborg pack which includes even more weapon camo, reticles, and calling cards.

Let us know if you have preordered Call of Duty: Black Ops III in the comments below.
