Call of Duty Black Ops 3 coming to Xbox 360, PS3
Yesterday we reported that Fallout 4 would be launching on the latest generation consoles or PC only, leaving Xbox 360 or PS3 users to decide if it’s worth another $349 or more to get the latest game.  Now only a day later, another game developer, Activision, has taken a different path, and has announced that it will release Call of Duty Black Ops III for not only the Xbox One and PS4, but for their last generation counterparts as well.
In a post on the Activision Call of Duty blog, the company revealed that it would indeed be showing Xbox 360 owners some love:

we know that there are still some fans that haven’t made the transition to the new console hardware, which is why we’re happy to share that we’re working with developers Beenox and Mercenary Technology on Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3

There will of course be some differences in game play between generations: Xbox 360 players will be limited to 2 player cooperative play instead of 4 player on Xbox One, and Activision will release more details as the November 6th launch date approaches.
So if you’re an Xbox 360 user bummed out by yesterday’s news, Activision has given you a bit of a reprieve.  Of course with today’s announcement of a new Xbox One 1TB edition, and a permanent price drop for the 500GB Xbox One, maybe it’s time to make the move anyway!
