  • Improved Pre-Join Settings
  • Simplified Account Switching

Microsoft has revealed updates on its Microsoft 365 roadmap regarding Microsoft Teams’ mobile meeting join experiences. The changes involve three main enhancements:

Streamlining Meeting Join

The process of joining meetings on mobile will be more straightforward. This will be particularly beneficial for users connecting from outside the organization.

Improved Pre-Join Settings

Users who opt to join meetings without signing in can now set and preview their video/audio settings before entering the meeting.

Simplified Account Switching

The experience of switching between multiple accounts will be made more user-friendly, aimed at easing the join process for users with multiple accounts.

Last week, Microsoft unveiled a new security enhancement for its Teams Rooms on Windows through Microsoft 365 roadmap.

Back to the current topic, this development is marked by Feature ID 146741, which was introduced to the roadmap on August 9, 2023.

The new features will be integrated into the Microsoft Teams product and are applicable across various instances, including GCC, DoD, GCC High, and Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), and will be accessible on Android and iOS platforms. The release phase is set for General Availability, and the rollout is scheduled to commence in October 2023.
