With the advent of improved industrial designs, smaller chips, quieter fans and improved battery technologies, large consumer-grade laptops are coming back into style and HP is joining the crowd with the release of the HP Pavilion Plus 16 laptop.

While the Spectre line tends to encompass HP’s attention for consumer offerings, the new Pavilion Plus 16 will offer customers a similar level of creature comforts as the more mainstream laptop such as a 16-inch 2.5K WQXGA display panel powered by Intel’s latest 13th Gen Core i7 processors that are also Evo certified, or an AMD Ryzen chips with optional AI engines onboard.

To help take advantage of the larger real estate, HP is stuffing an NVIDIA RTX 3050 GPU in the Pavilion Plus 16 which should make content creators, graphics designers, architects, and data scientist students happy.

HP is also offering a 5MP web cam that’s Windows Hello enabled for quick logins and security convenience as well as up to 16GB of LPDDR5x-5200RAM to start with.

The entire package comes in at 4.19 lbs. and will retail starting at $849.99 when it hits shelves in October.
