BlackBerry today announced that it is partnering with Microsoft to integrate BlackBerry AtHoc, the company’s networked crisis communication with Microsoft Teams. The integration will allow organizations managing incident response teams to quickly contact, alert, and account for employees within their organization right within Teams.

The BlackBerry AtHoc integration with Microsoft Teams has been designed to improve the incident response management process. It should give better visibility over the recovery progress of an unprecedented incident and streamline communications between employees. The new integration would allow incident response teams to quickly send notifications to mobile workers by enabling two-way communication to keep all stakeholders engaged.

“BlackBerry AtHoc integrations with Microsoft Teams are important for our mutual customers,” said Mike Ammerlaan, Director of Microsoft 365 Ecosystem Marketing at Microsoft Corp. “Providing business continuity assurance is a priority and this integration delivers an enhanced tool for ongoing, secure communications.”

The BlackBerry AtHoc system is used by thousands of organizations to communicate and collaborate during national emergency times. It unifies their crisis communications and provides all the necessary capabilities to plan, manage, and then remediate events. Furthermore, the BlackBerry AtHoc system delivers valuable situational awareness and control to crisis managers to help them make critical safety decisions.
