Xolo Win Q1000 gets SD Backup + Restore for Windows Phone Contacts, SMS, and MMS

Earlier this year, Xolo introduced the Win Q1000 Windows Phone handset in India — which resembles a lot to the Blu Win HD when it comes to the design. Anyway, it seems Xolo is offering users with some customization, giving users the ability to backup/restore their contacts from within the settings.

As spotted by the folks at WPXbox, SD Backup + Restore is available in Settings which give users the ability to back up their contacts and messages with a few simple taps. Using the feature creates a few folders — ContactsBackup and SMSBackup — on the SD card which contains the data. The contacts are stored in vCard format while the messages are in .MSG format, making it easier to open on your computer if you want to open them.

This is definitely a welcoming feature as it give users the ability to backup their details offline, which is always preferred by many users. Several users, on the other hand, prefer to create a backup in the cloud so they could easily access it from any device.
