Verizon discounts its lumia 735, now for $29. 99 with new two-year contract

Last week, WinBeta reported that Verizon Wireless started selling Microsoft’s Lumia 735 for just $79.99 on a new two-year contract. Now, Verizon is hawking the Lumia 735 for just $29.99 on the same contract duration. The no-contract price of the Lumia 735 remains at $192.

The Lumia 735 features a 4.7-inch display sporting a resolution of 1,280 by 720 pixels with a Snapdragon 400 processor. There is 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a 6.7MP rear camera , and a 5MP front-facing camera (perfect for those selfie fiends).

The Microsoft Store is doing things a bit differently by selling the same Lumia 735 on Verizon for $49 on a new two-year contract and a no-contract price of $199. The only difference in the prices from Verizon is that The Microsoft Store includes a free set of Nokia headphones. The Microsoft Store does not indicate what specific Nokia headphones that are included. After I had a quick online chat with a Microsoft employee, she let me know that you get special yellow Nokia Coloud Boom headphones ($29.99 value) with the Microsoft Lumia 735 deal.

Verizon offers a free one-year subscription to Office 365 Personal ($69.99 value) to anyone that buys the Lumia 735 before July 31st. I personally think the deal through the Microsoft Store is a much better deal, what it all depends on what you like. Make your choice!
