Android joins Windows platforms in welcoming Xbox One SmartGlass BetaYesterday we learned that the new SmartGlass Beta was landing on Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8 platforms, but the app also reached out to the Google Play store as well. However, it’s Beta, and there are known issues listed right on the Play store download page. Potential users should read these and beware of certain bugs that could prove frustrating.

The app is free to download, requiring users to be running Android 4.0 or newer of the operating system. That should encompass most users at this point, as Gingerbread has finally begun to disappear, after once seeming as though it would be the XP of Android.
