London, 5th April 2011: IS Solutions Plc, a provider of software and services to public and private sector clients, has achieved ISO27001:2005 certification in Information Security Management. This accomplishment reinforces IS Solutions’ long-standing capabilities in the delivery of secure managed services and provides clients with complete peace of mind that their organisational data, and the details of their customers, are being managed in the most rigorous and efficient ways available.

IS Solutions sought accreditation to demonstrate its experience and credibility in the delivery of managed services and Software-as-a-Service solutions to clients in multiple industry sectors including banking, insurance, retail, healthcare and government. Its managed services are part of a range of outsourcing solutions that the company has been providing for more than twenty-five years.

ISO27001:2005 Information Security Management is a crucial requirement for organisations like IS Solutions that work in the hosting or protection of other organisations’ data. For modern enterprises, information is a key differentiator and a source of competitive advantage; it is, therefore, a significant undertaking to allow an outside organisation to manage this important asset and any managed service partner is expected to elicit the highest levels of trust and confidence in their ability to handle this responsibility. Achievement of the ISO27001 standard demonstrates a managed service provider’s commitment to guaranteeing the confidentiality, integrity and availability of client data – it gives that client peace of mind that their information is safely maintained and that their image, competitiveness and profitability are protected.

Managing Director of IS Solutions, John Lythall, said of the certification: “We are delighted that our meticulous approach to solutions delivery has been recognised with ISO27001 accreditation. This endorsement of our systems and processes is just reward for the hard work performed by staff across the company in ensuring that we deliver solutions securely and effectively to meet the exacting needs of our clients. Our commitment to quality in delivery is the foundation of our success – the achievement of this standard will further encourage us to continue our growth in the expanding managed services market.”
