Snapchat is now available on Windows 11 as an app – onmsft.com

Snapchat has finally launched an official Snapchat app for Windows devices after years of demand from users.

The new Windows Snapchat app is now available to download for free via the Microsoft Store app store app on Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices running the latest version of the Microsoft Edge web browser.

Why is Microsoft Edge required? Well, the new Snapchat app is a Progressive Web App (PWA) which means that it essentially runs the web version of Snapchat. This does mean that the Windows Snapchat app isn’t as fully-featured as the iOS and Android versions but, much like the Windows Instagram app, it’s a solid option for those looking to keep up to date with all of their DMs or who want to consume media on a larger screen.
