Fresh off the heels of a Mobile Insider build released earlier today, the Windows team has also snuck in a cumulative update for Window 10 on the desktop. All Windows users should be getting a notification soon, if not now, of a cumulative update titled “Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems or (KB3118754).
According to Microsoft’s release notes:

This update includes improvements to enhance the functionality of Windows 10 Version 1511.
Windows 10 Version 1511 updates are cumulative. Therefore, this package contains all previously-released fixes (see 3105211). If you have installed previous updates, only the new fixes that are contained in this package will be downloaded and installed to your computer.

The update can be had by one of two ways, either waiting for the download to automatically show up in the Update settings menu or by going to the Microsoft Update Catalog website and manually installing it. The update will require a restart of the computer, so please set aside a few minutes to apply.
Microsoft explicitly notes, “this update replaces the previously released update 3105211.”
We’ll be sure to update if there is anything new or broken to be found with this update.
Happy downloading, Insiders!
