Microsoft announced a new partnership with PepsiCo, one of the biggest providers of consumer packaged goods worldwide. As a part of the five-year agreement, Microsoft plans to roll out Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams to PepsiCo’s 270,000 employees, and the company will also choose Microsoft as its “preferred cloud provider.”

PepsiCo will also leverage Microsoft’s Azure cloud and AI technologies to modernize its global supply chain. “Our partnership with PepsiCo applies Azure and AI capabilities to the ever-changing supply chain and retail landscape in new and exciting ways. By migrating PepsiCo’s global data estate and SAP landscapes to Azure, we’ll be able to help PepsiCo drive efficiencies from farmer to consumer,” said Deb Cupp, Microsoft CVP Enterprise Commercial Business.

With PepsiCo, Microsoft is getting another multinational company to use its cloud and Microsoft Teams, which has seen unprecedented growth since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Teams now has more than 75 million daily active users, and Microsoft recently said that the number of organizations integrating their third-party and LOB apps with Teams has tripled in the past two months.
