OS X Lion 10.7.2 has been seeded to developers just three days after Lion’s public release. Oddly, there has been no developer seed of 10.7.1, which probably means 10.7.1 will be a bug-fix update coming within the next week or two.

10.7.2 has been released soley to allow beta testers to install the new iCloud for OS X Lion Beta 5. To install the iCloud for OS X Lion Beta 5, you MUST install OS X 10.7.2. (Mac Developer Program Membership is required)

OS X Lion is quickly flying off the Mac App Store virtual shelves, having been downloaded over 1 million times in the first 24 hours since its release on Wednesday. At $29.99 a pop, that’s a cool $30 million Apple made overnight. A small drop in the ocean of $76.2 billion Apple has in the bank, but welcome none the less. With over 250 major and minor changes, OS X Lion has been warmly received by both tech reviewers and consumers.

TUAW reports some users are finding that the 10.7.2 beta can’t be installed if you’re running Lion server. Instead, these users are getting an error that their volume doesn’t meet the requirements for installation.
