Microsoft has just released fresh firmware updates for Surface Book 3 devices, which bring a handful of improvements for the convertible 2-in-1 PCs. This time, the focus is on stability and security, and the new bits should also improve the overall graphics performance with both the built-in Intel Iris Plus graphics and the discrete Nvidia GPU.

You can see the full changelog below:

  • Intel(R) Iris(R) Plus Graphics – Display adapters: Improves system graphics performance, stability, and security.
  • Intel(R) Iris(R) Plus Graphics Extension: Improves integration between system services and stability.
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX – Display adapters: Improves system graphics performance, stability, and security.
  • Surface UEFI – Firmware: Addresses security updates and improves system stability.

As usual, the February 2021 firmware updates are rolling out in waves, so it may take some time before it hits all Surface Book 3 devices. In case you missed it, Microsoft also released new firmware updates for the Intel-based Surface Laptop 3, Surface Pro 5 & 6, Surface Pro 7 as well as the new Surface Pro 7 + models recently.
