Nokia is rumored to announce a Windows RT tablet called the Lumia 2520 on October 22nd. The tablet features a quad-core chip and a 10.1 inch screen. Now, this tablet has been officially confirmed as it has just been approved by the FCC.
According to the FCC documents, the Nokia Windows RT tablet features LTE with support for bands 2, 4, 5, 13 and 17, along with a full suite of HSPA+ and GSM / EDGE. This pretty much means the tablet will work on various top carriers such as Verizon and AT&T, but no word on exactly which carriers will be getting the tablet.
The device is labeled as “RX-114” in the FCC documents and no other details about the device were revealed aside from the 4G/LTE connectivity. So far, based on information that was leaked, the tablet features a codename of “Sirius.” Nokia is expected to announce this tablet in an event on October 22nd.
This tablet features a 10.1-inch 1080p (1920×1080) IPS display, a batter life of up to 10 hours, 1.3lbs in weight and .35 inches in thickness. The device will also feature a 2.15 GHZ quad core Qualcomm 8974 chipset. The tablet is rumored to be priced at $499.
