Microsoft’s all-in-one Office app for iOS is now optimized for iPads

Microsoft’s all-in-one Office app for iOS is now optimized for the iPad. This unified app came back from the grave last year on iOS and Android devices, offering smartphones users a welcome alternative to downloading the separate Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and save some storage along the way

Until today, though, iPad users were restricted to using the iPhone version of this app on the bigger iPad screens, which wasn’t a great experience. Now, the app is fully optimized for iPads, making it easy to edit World, Excel, and PowerPoint documents on the tablets without having to download the dedicated Office apps.

This unified Office app is free to download, though editing capabilities on iPads with screens bigger than 10 inches requires a Microsoft 365 subscription. The same restriction applies to the Word, Excel, and PowerPoint apps for iPad, which will continue to be updated with more power-user features.

If you have yet to try this all-in-one Office app, you can find download links for the iOS and Android versions below. Let us know in the comments if you prefer using this app on your mobile devices over the regular Word, Excel, and PowerPoint apps.
