Microsoft has just sent out invites to its upcoming event where the company “will talk about devices,” on October 12, 2022.
\
Without being too pedantic, it seems pretty safe to assume that the invites are for Microsoft’s annual Surface hardware event the company hosts each Fall.
\
\
\
Following the rollout of the Windows 11 2022 Update, Microsoft has promised a feature pack update also landing in October and it may dovetail with the announcement of new hardware on the 12th.
\

\
Many are expecting Microsoft to consolidate its Surface Pro hardware with introduction of an update to the Surface Pro X that could come with the latest Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 processor as well as a Surface Pro 9 with Intel’s 12th Gen chips, with both devices utilizing the same modernized body.
\
We also believe there will be an update to Microsoft’s All-in-One (AIO) efforts with the Surface Studio getting a refresh as well as the Surface Laptop 5 possibly coming with more ports, faster refresh rates, haptic trackpads, thinner bezels and Intel’s latest chips.
\
\
\
Finally, there are accessories Microsoft might touch upon such as the Surface Earbuds from 2019, possibly the Surface Headphones, and maybe some improvements to the Surface Pen.
\
Microsoft may opt to show off its new features pack during the event which is supposed to include a new Tabbed File Explorer interface, Taskbar, Photos Apps, and Task Manager improvements on these new devices next month.
