In an official Office blog post, Microsoft showcases a new improvement in Outlook 2013. Not only is Outlook 2013 highly customizable, but the message list has been overhauled to focus on the way most people use it. Outlook and Outlook Web App now look similar when it comes to the design.
“The view has been cleaned up to focus on your emails, and keep your computer looking modern and fresh. Outlook and the Outlook Web App share the same design principles, and you’ll notice the message lists look very similar between the two products,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post. Now, not only does the message list look cleaner, but it also focuses on functionality. Users can sort emails using the classic Data view or the new trendy Conversations view, and either way, the names of the senders will be shown in a larger font on the top line of each message. Microsoft has also added more spacing between messages and a tweaked unread status bar (which now uses Outlook’s new blue color) to make it easier to focus on the unread message. On top of all that, Microsoft has added a one-line preview to each message in the message list. Anyone excited for Outlook 2013?
