Microsoft pushes Dell Venue 8 Pro sale in new ad

If you have kept up with the news the past 24-hours, then you have likely heard that Microsoft is kicking off its 12 Days of Deals this coming Monday. The sale is a compliment to the 12 Days of Geekmas that was announced the previous day, and it’s kicking off with a bang. The first day features a $99 steal, ah deal, on the Dell Venue 8 Pro tablet, at least if you are among the first 20 through the door at a Microsoft store, or a winner in the online battle royal that will see the first 100 orders come out on top.

Don’t fret too much if you don’t make it, because it will still be priced at $199 thereafter (while supplies last), which is $100 off the regular price. To drum up a bit of hype for the device, Microsoft has thrown together a holiday-spirited, and rather romantic, 30-second ad. Nothing quite says love like dim lights, lots of candles and a tablet, right? Oh, and let’s not forget the deep voiced announcer teasing you about what’s coming before panning to the Dell near the end.

All jokes aside, the deal is perhaps the best offer we’ve seen this holiday shopping season. The Dell Venue 8 Pro runs full Windows 8.1 and sports an HD screen, as well as a dual core processor. It has only just recently been released, and so far has received good reviews. Yet Microsoft is knocking the price from $299 down to $99 for a lucky few customers. Grab your wallet and move fast if you have the least interest in this device.
