Xbox music

Microsoft are preparing to launch a web-based counterpart to its Xbox Music service found on Windows 8, Xbox and Windows Phone. The web version will work much like Spotify does on the web, allowing you to steam music through your web browser as well as managing playlists.

This web-version comes right on time as Microsoft releases the Windows 8.1 Preview. The Preview is expected to include a re-designed Xbox Music app which we highlighted earlier today. Check that out here.

The web-based Xbox Music website isn’t expected to launch until sometime next week, but its possible that Microsoft plan on talking a bit about it at its annual BUILD developer conference tomorrow. Check back at WinBeta for more Xbox Music news!
