Microsoft News app updates on iOS and Android with new icon and focus on COVID-19

The iOS and Android versions of the Microsoft News app updated today with additional content on the COVID-19 pandemic and the fresh new icon that’s been present in the Windows 10 version for a short while now.

Here’s the full release notes:

New Microsoft News logo and app icon. We’ve updated the logo and app icon to reflect the breadth and depth of trusted local, national and global stories from over 4,500 media brands provided by Microsoft News.

Updated to show the latest news and alerts on COVID-19, get access to our in-depth coverage of the global pandemic.

Microsoft News is a free app that allows users to curate news stories from both recommended and custom news sources. The apps don’t update too often with the last major updates happening back in January and February adding several new regional editions for readers.
