Microsoft and Dell announced yesterday they have collaborated to help their customers simplify the delivery of IoT Solutions. Indeed, the two companies have come together on a solution which should help enhance security and help lower the cost of IoT deployment.

Microsoft’s and Dell joint IoT solution uses a combination of Microsoft Azure IoT applications and services, VMware Pulse IoT Center and Dell Edge Gateways. This all means that customers should expect to see streamlined management, centralized monitoring and security from devices to the cloud. In the words of Ruston Panabaker, vice president IoT Solutions, Microsoft:

“When businesses deploy secure intelligent edge to cloud solutions, they can take full advantage of the digital transformation opportunities IoT represents. By delivering this integrated edge to cloud solution, Microsoft and Dell technologies are making it easier for customers to empower their employees, optimize operations and reimagine their products, services or even business models.”

The IoT solution will be available for purchase in the second half of 2018. You can learn more about it by checking here.
