LG Ultra PC Z940

CES 2014 is just around the corner and manufacturers are gearing up with their new products they plan to showcase at one of the biggest electronics show, which will take place in Las Vegas from January 7th until January 10th. LG is no different, and revealed that the company will showcase a bunch of Windows 8.1 powered PCs, including LG Ultra PC, LG Tab-Book 2 hybrid devices and an all-in-one PC.

The LG Ultra PC model 13Z940 comes with a clean and minimal design, and rocks a 13.3-inch Full HD IPS display with a think 4.4mm thin bezel. The Ultra PC weighs only 980g with a thickness of 13.6mm, with Haswell Core i5 processor and solid-state drives with options of 128GB and 256GB to make sure it offers solid performance.

The updated Tab-Book 2 lineup (11T740 and 11T540) are powered by Windows 8.1 and features a QWERTY keyboard which can hide under the 11.6-inch Full HD display. The keyboard can glide out with a click of a button in case you need to use it for your typing needs. The Tab-Book 2 (11T740) is 16.7mm thin and weighs a little over 1KG, making it look attractive to those who care about the portability of the machine. Under the hood, The Tab-Book 2 is powered by the fourth-generation Core i5 Haswell processor. On the other hand, the little sibling, 11T540 model, weighs only 930g with a thickness of 13.7mm.

Lastly, the AIO PC features a 27-inch crystal clear Full HD IPS display with Windows 8.1 running as the operating system. The machine is powered by an unspecified Intel Core processor, with Nvidia GeForce 740M for graphics processing. The AIO PC will come with a remote that will give users the ability to switch from computer to TV without rebooting, thanks to the picture-in-picture (PIP) technology.

“Perfectly at home as a TV, monitor or personal computer, the LG AIO PC can easily switch from computer to TV mode using the included remote without having to reboot the PC. For computing and graphics processing power, the new model contains an Intel Core CPU and NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M graphics card. What’s more, its picture-in-picture (PIP) feature makes it possible to watch TV and browse the internet simultaneously,” according to LG.

There are no details about the pricing or availability of the above-mentioned machines, and will be unveiled at the Consumers Electronics Show 2014 in a couple of days. We’ll update you as soon as we have something.
