Kinect for Windows v2 Developer Preview Program has 500 spots open for eager developers

For all you eager developers out there, Microsoft has 500 spots available for those of you who wish to be a part of the Kinect for Windows v2 Developer Preview Program. Microsoft is “excited by the response” from developers when initially launching the program last summer and the company has decided to expand the program with new interested developers.

“We will have an additional 500 spots in the program available to professional developers and others who want to build amazing experiences using Kinect including artists, students, and other creators who have great ideas to bring to life using the new Kinect for Windows v2 sensor and SDK,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post.

The one big perk of this program is the fact that selected developers can snag a Beta Kinect for Windows device before it is officially launched next summer. The program fee will run you $399 (US) and gives you direct access to the Kinect for Windows engineering team via a private forum and exclusive webcasts, early SDK access (alpha, beta, and any updates along the way to release), private access to all API and sample documentation, a pre-release/alpha sensor, and a final, released sensor at launch next summer.

Microsoft is accepting applications by January 31, 2014, so if you are interested, head over to the VIA link below to get started.
