Instagram client 6tag updates to 2.2.3, fixes password reset issue

Windows Phone customers now have Instagram, but it faces competition from the 6tag client, which has gained a dedicated following. In fact, the developer describes it this way: “6tag is the most full featured Instagram app for Windows Phone”. However, no app is ever perfect, and updates feature bug fixes for problems discovered since the last iteration was released.

6tag is no exception, with frustrated customers recently complaining about an auto password reset that was blocking them from their accounts. The issue has now been addressed by the developer, who tweeted “2.2.3 will totally solve this problem, step by step, I improve the mechanism”. That update has hit the Windows Store today.

The client allows customers to upload pictures and videos directly to Instagram, even applying the filters which the social photo service is so famous for. 6tag is free and remains extremely popular despite the fact that the real thing now co-exists with it in the Store. Check your updates if you have experienced the issue.
