HP’s Envy x2 Always Connected PC now available for pre-order, with shipments starting on March 9

The HP Envy x2, one of the first Always Connected PCs announced at Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Technology summit last month, is now available to pre-order on HP’s website (via Windows Central). The store listing finally revealed the full specs of the device, which is currently priced at $999.99.

This isn’t exactly affordable compared to budget PCs with Intel processors, but the Qualcomm-powered Envy x2, which will ship with Windows 10 S, can deliver up to 22 hours of battery life and has built-in 4G LTE. The 2-in-1 device is also 0.27 inch (6,8 mm) thick and weighs 1,54 lb (0,69 kg), which should be great for people looking for a lightweight Windows 10 tablet.

Besides its Snapdragon 835 octo-core processor, the Envy x2 features a 12.3 Full HD touchscreen, 128GB of storage and 4G of RAM. It also comes with 1 USB Type-C, micro SD slot, SIM card slot and combo audio jack, dual Bang & Olufsen speakers and a stylus.

The Envy x2 will start shipping on March 9, which is just two weeks away. If you think $999 is too expensive, you may want to wait for the Asus NovaGo or Lenovo Miix 630 Always Connected PCs, which will be available at $699 and $799, respectively. We’ll let you know as soon as both devices become available to pre-order.
