Forza Motorsport 7 video game to be removed from digital stores soon – onmsft.com

Forza Motorsport 7 will officially reach end of life status on September 15th. This means that, while the game and DLC will still be able to be downloaded from the Microsoft Store digital storefront on Windows PC and Xbox consoles for those who own it, neither will be available for purchase after this date.

Online functionality for Motorsport 7 will continue to work as normal for the foreseeable future.

Such a move is very much the norm for Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizons video games with most being removed from sale several years after their initial release.

The most recent Forza titles removed from stores were Forza Horizon 3 in 2020 and Forza Motorsport 6 in 2019, both also in September of their respective years.

As a nice surprise to Xbox Game Pass subscribers, those with an active subscription who have purchased DLC for Forza 7 will receive a free code for the full game via an Xbox DM. All codes should be distributed by August 2nd which means that anyone who buys DLC after this date won’t receive the full game.

Those who want to add Forza Motorsport 7 to their game library before it’s removed from stores can currently buy it with a 75% discount on both Xbox consoles and PC. That means it’s being sold for just $9.99. Not bad for such a major game.
