This week’s Deals with Gold feature Overcooked, The Escapists and many other games from developer Team 17.

Xbox’s Major Nelson has just announced this week’s Deals with Gold and Spotlight sale, which features many titles from British game developer Team 17. One of the highlights is probably Overcooked, a fun cooking simulation game that was released last year on the Xbox One. You may also take a look at the Team 17 Indie Heroes Pack (80% off), which includes popular titles such as The Escapists, Not a Hero and more.

Only four Xbox 360 titles are being discounted this week, and all of them were also developed by Team 17: these are three different Alien Breed games plus the Xbox 360 version of the strategy game The Escapists. As usual, you can find the full list of discounted titles on Major Nelson’s blog post, but we’ve added more details about our favorite deals below.

Xbox One deals

Overcooked ($8.50 with Xbox Live Gold)

Overcooked is a chaotic couch co-op cooking game for one to four players. Working as a team, you and your fellow chefs must prepare, cook and serve up a variety of tasty orders before the baying customers storm out in a huff. Sharpen your knives and dust off your chef’s whites, there isn’t mushroom for error and the steaks are high in these crazy kitchens!

Team 17 Indie Heroes Pack ($12.90 with Xbox Live Gold)

Team17 swings into action and delivers a beefed up, muscle-bound slice of awesome Indie action in the Team17 Indie Heroes Pack for Xbox One!
Games included in this bundle: The Escapists, Not a Hero, Sheltered and Olli Olli2: XL Edition

Ethan: Meteor Hunter ($6.69 with Xbox Live Gold)

Freeze time and manipulate the world with endless possibilities: build the solution YOU want where nothing is scripted and levels can be solved in multiple ways. When Super Meat Boy meets Braid, you may die repeatedly and enjoy it! With its unique blend of precision platforming and time-stopping physics-based puzzles, feel like a hero when you succeed!

Xbox 360 deals

The Escapists ($4.99 with Xbox Live Gold)

Experience a light-hearted insight into everyday prison life with the award winning indie hit, The Escapists.  Master the routine, plan your strategy then execute your Escape in the break simulation sensation of 2015.  Whilst the aim of the game is simply to escape, the detail is in the execution where in between attending roll calls, mealtimes and doing your allocated jobs,  you should grab every chance to plan your escape.

Alien Breed 3: Descent ($1.24 with Xbox Live Gold)

Alien Breed™ 3: Descent is an explosive science fiction arcade-shooter with an epic story, swarms of highly intelligent alien enemies, high-impact weapons, highly detailed environments, developed using Epic Games’ Unreal® Engine 3. In addition to the thrilling conclusion to the single-player campaign and the relentless survivor mode, the game offers action-packed, online or local two-player co-operative battle modes, for Xbox™ Live Arcade.

All discounts will be valid through July 3rd, let us know in the comments if you plan to purchase one of these titles or keep your money for the yet to be announced Xbox Summer Sale.
