LEGO CITY Undercover featured an entirely original character and storyline based on the LEGO toy line. This set it apart from most of the other LEGO video games which are almost always based on a popular movie or TV franchises. Its main claim to fame was its large open-world play area and it was, for the most part, critically acclaimed by most media outlets.
