Ever since its launch, Halo 5 Guardians has been seeing frequent content releases. Today, Halo 5: Guardian’s developer has announced that the latest Memories of Reach update for the Xbox One exclusive game is now available.

The Memories of Reach content release includes the highly anticipated Infection game mode, a new Arena map Stasis, and armor sets inspired by the legendary Noble Team from Halo: Reach. Additionally, new weapons such as the Brute Plasma Rifle and Jorge’s Chaingun, and additional character customizations such as emblems, assassinations, and weapon skins also make their way into the game because of the free content release.

The content release also fixes the issues that fans have been reported. These fixes include the ability to modify your matchmaking search preferences, a new Post Game Carnage Report with post-game medals and more stats, sandbox balance updates and additional Forge goodies.

Halo players who launch Halo 5: Guardians after the content release launch will also automatically receive a “Memories of Reach Update Pack.” The free one-time pack delivers select consumable REQs from the new release for immediate use. Spartans can find the pack waiting for them in the REQ system in-game.

It’s worth noting, though, that an added “Memories of Reach REQ Pack” promotional offer will additionally be available for 120,000 REQ Points or $14.99 USD. This pack will unlock three new permanent REQs, and if available, selections from 12 new REQs launched with Memories of Reach.

Fans of Halo eSports can also look forward to the content release as this weekend will be the HCS Pro League Online Qualifiers. This event will determine who will get to participate in the Last Change Qualifier on May 22 and May 22.

Similar to past releases, the free content release will automatically download and install once it’s available. An upcoming Wild Hog and a new epic Warzone Firefight game mode release are on the Horizon, and so the Halo 5 team is clearly showing their commitment to the title.
