As I mentioned in my previous dissection, while Windows 10 Mobile’s feedback mechanisms have improved dramatically since the release of the Lumia 950, I feel there is a weakness with how the feedback app works, and that is it can be quite cumbersome to pick the correct “category” for where to deposit feedback for the given suggestion or issue. There is, however, an elegant way to supplant this issue.
Many of you probably know that pressing the volume up and power buttons simultaneously causes your Windows 10 Mobile device to capture a screenshot of whatever naughty things you have on screen. There is, in fact, another shortcut which involves pressing the power and volume down button simultaneously.
Pressing this will immediately launch you into the Windows Feedback. But it actually does more than that. Instead of you having to navigate through an entire library of categories to find out which departmental bureaucracy you’re supposed to haggle with, this shortcut will automatically pick the correct category for you based on where you were when you pressed this shortcut, and redirect you there upon the app’s launch, most of the time at least.
From here, you can use any number of feedback schemes to help Microsoft shape the future of Windows 10 Mobile.
