Cyberpunk 2077 will become the first video game to support DLSS 3.5 ahead of next week’s release of the DLC expansion Phantom Liberty.
DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) is a resolution upscaling technology that uses AI, and is developed by Nvidia. DLSS 3.5 is the latest iteration which uses a new feature Nvidia calls “Ray Reconstruction” to improve further on ray tracing technology. Unlike DLSS version 3.0, this new 3.5 iteration will be reportedly be available for all RTX GPUs.
DLSS 3.5 will be one of the new improvements to come with Update 2.0 on September 21. This big update will come just five days before the release of Phantom Liberty on the 26th.
This will be the first and only major expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, and will retail for $34.99. The expansion DLC will feature Solomon Reed (portrayed by actor Idris Elba) as the protagonist. The official synopsis over on Cyberpunk.net reads as follows,
