Microsoft has announced that it is partnering with Gurugram-based software platform, Builder.ai, in a strategic collaboration that will see the two companies develop AI-powered solutions for businesses. The partnership will enable businesses to develop applications using the power of AI and become digitally native without needing any technical expertise.

What Is Builder.AI?

Builder.ai is a Gurugram, India-based composable software platform that specializes in breaking software down into reusable Lego-like features. The company was founded in 2016 by Sachin Dev Duggal and Saurabh Dhoot. Builder.ai’s platform offers customization from its managed expert network of designers and developers on top of its service through the AI-powered assembly line.

Through its partnership with Microsoft, Builder.ai looks to enhance its growth in the market for SMBs and enterprises. This partnership will enable the company to leverage the extensive product connections across the Microsoft product ecosystem, including integration with Azure OpenAI Service and other Azure Cognitive Services within Builder.ai’s software assembly line. Additionally, Builder.ai will be adopting Microsoft Cloud and AI to accelerate its go-to-market growth.

How Will the Collaboration Benefit the Builder.AI?

While the terms of the partnership and the investment amount have not been disclosed, Builder.ai will be able to take advantage of Microsoft’s deep product connections and expertise in AI. The partnership highlights Microsoft’s focus on building enterprise-level AI in the face of increasing competition from Google.

“We are thrilled to be working so closely with Microsoft. This collaboration for Builder.ai is centered around the alignment of our core mission. From my first meeting with Microsoft to the moment we agreed to collaborate more strategically, one thing has been really clear-Microsoft’s commitment to helping everyone unlock their true potential,” said Sachin Dev Duggal, the founder of Builder.ai.

What’s the Collaboration Means to Microsoft?

For Microsoft, the partnership is an extension of its mission to empower every person and organization on the planet to achieve more. “We see Builder.ai creating an entirely new category that empowers everyone to be a developer, and our new, deeper collaboration fueled by Azure AI will bring the combined power of both companies to businesses around the world,” said Jon Tinter, Corporate Vice President, Business Development, Microsoft.

Through this collaboration, Microsoft plans to integrate Builder.ai’s AI assistant Natasha in its Teams video and chat application to let users build business applications within the platform.

In March, Microsoft unveiled new AI integrations and features for its Office 365 apps and services, including a new AI assistant called Copilot. With this partnership, Microsoft is strengthening its position as a leader in the AI space, while Builder.ai is set to benefit from Microsoft’s extensive reach and resources.

Rise of AI-Powered Platform

Microsoft’s partnership with Builder.ai is an exciting development that is set to benefit businesses looking to develop AI-powered solutions. The partnership is a win-win for both companies, with Builder.ai set to benefit from Microsoft’s deep product connections and expertise in AI while Microsoft strengthens its position as a leader in the AI space. The collaboration highlights the growing importance of AI in today’s business landscape, and it will be exciting to see what new developments arise from this partnership in the future.
