Q-Mobile, a Vietnam-based manufacturer, launched not one, not two, but five new Windows Phone 8.1 handsets for the local market. Best of all, the devices comes with a price tag less than 4 million VND (almost $188), carrying a very decent set of specifications. All five handsets feature a similar Qualcomm processor clocked at 1.2GHz.

Storm 408 features 512MB of RAM, while the Storm 410 features 1GB of RAM. Rest of the specifications are similar, as it includes 4-inch display rocking a resolution of 480 by 800 pixels with 4GB of storage and 5MP camera for photos and videos. The handsets will hit retail in multiple color options, with a 1,420 and 1,800 mAh battery, respectively. Storm 408 will come with a 2.19 million VND price tag, while the other variant will cost 2,490,000 VND.

The remaining three almost features a similar set of specifications with the major differentiator being the screen size. The Storm W610 rocks a 6-inch display while the remaining two feature 4.7-inch and 5-inch display, respectively. All three devices come with a 720p display, 1GB of RAM, 8MP camera for photos and videos, as well as a 2MP front facing camera, and Windows Phone 8.1 as their OS. The 6-inch model also feature more storage — 8GB with a microSD card slot — while the remaining two feature 4GB memory. The prices range between 3.49 million VND to 3.99 million VND, off-contract.

All of these can be classified as low to mid-range devices, and it’s good to see that more OEMs are jumping on the Windows Phone bandwagon. Earlier this month, we saw a budget-friendly WP device launching in Russia, as well as a few in China too. It’s not just the smaller OEMs, HTC is rumored to launch a Windows version of their popular HTC One M8 soon.
