Streaming PC games to the Xbox One is being worked on

\

Streaming games from the Xbox One to PCs is one of the more anticipated features of Windows 10, especially for gamers. The head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, told the Verge in an interview that Microsoft is also working on streaming the other way around, from PCs to Xbox One consoles.

With Windows 10 comes deeper integration between the Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs. One such integration is streaming back and forth and to do that properly requires the native controls for each type of game. Xbox controllers are already usable on PCs and mouse and keyboard support is on the way for the Xbox One. Phil Spencer stated in that interview “We understand if you’re going to go PC to Xbox, we need to get keyboard and mouse working completely so you could play those games. In terms of where we want to go with our platform, those are absolutely in scope of things that we want to do.”

Streaming PC games to the Xbox One is more challenging than streaming Xbox One games to the PC from a technical standpoint. There isn’t a specific date or goal for this feature to arrive but it’s likely to cause quite a bit of fan buzz when it rolls out.
