Shazam adds new dashboard and Facebook integration to Windows Phone app

\

Shazam has really been respecting its Windows Phone users this year. In 2015 alone, the app has added song recommendations and previews, support for YouTube’s Data API v3 which helps apps to fetch search results and edit resources like videos or playlists, a new karaoke-esque lyrics feature that renders the words for songs as they play, the ability to share songs on social media, YouTube music videos and links to Xbox Music to buy the songs.

\

The app developers are showing no sign of slowing down and have just updated the app yet again with an all-new dashboard showcasing the most Shazam-ed songs, news and videos from musicians and even customized recommendations based on the user’s Facebook friends (assuming they’ve also linked their Facebook and Shazam accounts.)

\

With Windows Phones now having a built-in song recognition function thanks to Cortana, Shazam really needs to offer more in their app besides that basic feature and making it a more social experience may be the motivation many users need to choose it over Cortana. Let us know what you think, you can download the Shazam app from the link below. Do these new Shazam features make you want to use the app more? Sign off in the comments below.
