At the first day of Build 2016, Microsoft showed off some of the new exciting features coming to their modern web browser Microsoft Edge. The features, such as signing into secure web pages with Windows Hello, more inking capabilities, and possibly a native ad-blocker, are set to be released in the upcoming Redstone update for Windows 10, which we now know will be commercially called the Windows 10 Anniversary update. All of this is great news for Edge that already builds on the most anticipated feature request, extensions.

Extensions started showing up two weeks ago in Windows 10 Build 14291. Since then more and more extensions have become available for Insiders to try out. The latest extension spotted isn’t a third-party add-in, but is Microsoft’s OneNote Web Clipper. This extension is a convenient way to quickly grab a web page or just the text of a web page and drop it into any section of your OneNote notebooks.

The extension was first spotted in the Windows store by the Spanish language news blog MicrosoftInsider.es. We have since been able to find the listing but have not been able to download the extension ourselves. Maybe we’ll hear more about Edge extensions later today at Build, and, hopefully, Insiders will soon be able to start downloading the OneNote Web Clipper and more from the Windows Store.
