Images of indian oem celkon's first windows phone win 400 leaked, expected to launch later this year

Back in February Microsoft announced 9 new hardware partners for its mobile operating system Windows Phone. Three of them were from India — Micromax, Karbonn Mobiles, and Xolo. And now it seems we have yet another phone maker ready to embrace the Windows Phone. Celkon, which is best known for its feature phones, smartphones and tablets seems to be prepping for its first ever Windows Phone launch.

A new leaked image of its forthcoming smartphone — Win 400 has surfaced on the Web. The handset is slated to arrive later this year. Celkon seems to begin things off with a low-budget smartphone. The 4-inch handset is slated to run on a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor. It will carry a 5-megapixel rear camera, and a 0.3 front facing shooter.

The handset is said to come in two colors – black and white, and cost around Rs 7,000 ($115). From the leaked images, it seems to sport a plastic body with glossy finish.

Are you happy with the growing number of Windows Phone’s hardware partners?

Thanks Vivek for the tip!
