Halo 5

How interesting! With only weeks to go until the Microsoft E3 press conference, little bits and pieces of information are leaking which are revealing big plans for the Xbox One. According to Engadget, Microsoft are planning to release ‘Halo: The Master Chief Collection’ later this year for Xbox One, which will include Halo’s 1-4.

This port will be a HD remake too, meaning not only will you be playing your favorite last-generation titles, but you’ll be playing them in high quality textures at a “blistering 60fps”. Microsoft last year claimed that the Halo journey will begin on Xbox One in 2014, and this remake seems likely where that journey begins as Halo 5 is still a year away.

Of course, this is just a rumor right now. However this has been a rumor for quite a while, with a number of different sources claiming similar things over the past several months. Halo: Reach and Halo 3: ODST haven’t been mentioned in the upcoming remake, as the collection focuses on just the Master Chief.

What are your thoughts on this? Could it happen? Would you buy it? Leave us your comments below!
