Google working on Assistant, will be better than Apple’s Siri

Google is apparently working on its own version of Siri, the popular Apple voice assistant that comes in iOS, called Assistant. The idea behind this Assistant is that it will be personalized and feature Google’s data collection on how people behave online.

According to the report from PCWORLD, Google’s Assistant will be “less about returning search results and more about accomplishing real-life goals.” Google currently has a voice command feature for its Android operating system which does simple tasks such as calling, texting, or navigating via the Voice Commands feature, but Google hopes to enhance it further and popularize it like Apple did with Siri.

A good point was brought up in the report. Many of us use Google products such as Gmail, Google Docs, YouTube, Google Maps, and Google Goggles. With the new privacy policy changes that resulted in one single privacy policy, Google will be building a more intelligent profile that reflects what you like, where you go, who you talk to, and what you buy. If this new Assistant is designed to be “less about returning search results and more about accomplishing real-life goals,” one can only imagine what it will be like.
