General availability of Office 365 Connectors announced

Microsoft has announced today during its Build 2016 developer conference the general availability of Office 365 connectors. If you don’t know what this is about, Office connectors are a set of app APIs that allow Office 365 users to bring in information and updates from Microsoft services and third-party sources such as RSS, Twitter, GitHub, SalesForce, MailChimp or Trello. It’s a really powerful feature that enables Office 365 to turn into a a platform or hub where users can track all their notifications from outside sources without ever having to leave Office 365.

Office 365 Connectors were first introduced in preview back in November 2015 before being released for First Release Office customers in March. Today, all Office 365 customers can try the feature, and Microsoft will work to bring more partners and more “Connectors” to customers in the future.

Developing story…
