Fresh Paint app

Two new popular apps have received an update in the Windows Store within the past several hours, which includes Microsoft’s Fresh Paint app and The Weather Channel app for Windows 8 and Windows RT. While the update to the Fresh Paint app is minor, the update to the Weather Channel app brings along with it some new features.

Microsoft has rolled out an update to the Fresh Paint app, available for both Windows 8 and Windows RT. This update is minor and features “bug fixes” according to the release notes on the Windows Store app detail page. No other details were provided as to what bugs were fixed.

The Weather Channel app, on the other hand, received an update that features a complete “re-creation” of the app. In fact, the app now offers even more accurate and relevant data to your life, according to the change log on the Windows Store app listing page. The app now features improved location management, severe weather alerts, enhanced video player, updated Live tile with location and improved information, more details on current forecast including humidity and wind, and an easier way to check past weather data. The app also features bug fixes and performance improvements, along with enhanced integration with Bing Maps.

Hit the download link below to snag both of the updated apps. Let us know in the comments below if you notice any new features or improvements that were not mentioned.
