If you happen to be a regular user of Facebook Messenger or Facebook Beta, you may want to hit the Windows Phone Store as the apps were updated recently with new features and bug fixes.

Facebook Messenger doesn’t need any introduction and lets users get in touch with their Facebook friends. Recently, the app received an update, bumping it to version 3.1, and comes with an array of new features. Along with the usual performance improvements, the app uses less data, and give users the ability to save photos from within the app. Here’s the complete change log of the app:

  • You can now save photos.
  • Notifications are more reliable, so you never miss a message.
  • The app uses less data.
  • Overall performance has improved.

It’s not just the Facebook Messenger, Facebook Beta was also bumped to version 5.2.4.2, and is just a minor update with bug fixes and performance improvements. There are no new features, but bug fixes are always welcomed as well.

Head over to the Windows Phone Store and grab the updates — both apps are free.
