Microsoft has released the first Edge Dev version 110 build. Coming in at version 110.0.1543.0, this build features the usual reliability fixes and improvements as well as new features. Here’s what you need to know.
First up, the newly added features. This version now supports a more consistent dark mode, even Sidebar content. What’s more, you will be able to create a share and redeem Workspaces share link in, and finally, you’ll be able to tell who closed Workspace tabs with timestamps.
For Mobile users, the Collections feature has been updated. The feature will get to show new content based on your collections as well as the web. Your existing collections will not be affected by this change and you can also switch back based on your preference. As for the Enterprise users, they will get enhanced support for ExtensionInstallBlocklist policy to block all Sidebar apps. Enterprise users also get s new policy that lets them control the scope search feature.
Aside from the added features, this update also features a host of reliability fixes and changed behavior. The most notable one is that starting with Chromium 110, Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 will no longer be supported. You might want to consider upgrading to Windows 11 to continue accessing Edge’s features and updates.

This update should roll out to users automatically, however, if this is not the case, you can trigger the update manually by visiting Edge’s Settings menu, then click on Help and Feedback, select About Microsoft Edge, and then wait for the browser to download the update.
