Challenge empires and make your own fortune with Assassin's Creed Pirates for Windows Phone and Windows 8.1

Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Pirates is now available for Windows Phone and Windows 8.1 as a paid app. With Assassin’s Creed Pirates, you can fight naval battles in real-time all over the Caribbean Sea. You can even choose from a wide range of weapons to destroy your enemies and become a true pirate legend.

“Become one of the most feared pirates of the Caribbean in this exclusive Assassin’s Creed adventure on smartphones and tablets! Play as Alonzo Batilla, a young and ambitious captain, a pirate eager to take on the fiercest of enemies…Break all the rules, challenge empires and make your own fortune!” the app description reads.

You can build up your own crew and ship too, including gunboats and floating fortresses. Upgrade your ships using the massive bounty plundered from your encounters. You can even recruit the best crew members and learn more than 50 new pirating techniques to become a better captain and true master of naval combat.

The game features fantastic visuals — including changing weather conditions, storms, fog, sunshine, sunsets, and coastlines. Sail throughout a vast array of islands as you explore the Caribbean. You can even meet the most notorious and colorful pirates of the era, including Sam Bellamy, Ben Hornigold and Blackbeard!

Enough words, check out the announcement trailer below. Hit the download link to snag the app for your platform. The app runs for $4.49.

Thanks for the tip, Steveo!
